THE WHO - 'MY GENERATION'
UK 1966 1st PRESS *MONO* PRESSING LP
This EXCELLENT and early UK 1st mono pressing is on the deep-groove, Decca pressed black & silver Brunswick label: LAT.8616
The disc is house in a front laminated 'Robert Stace' printed cover.
Complete with it original poly-lined inner-sleeve.
Earliest matrix numbers: MG-10256-1B & MG-10257-1B
Stamper codes: 2,B/BB & 1/A

CONDITION
Labels: EXCELLENT
A clean & unblemished pair with just a small collection of light spindle trails around each centre hole.
Visual: VERY GOOD +
Both playing surfaces are extremely clean & glossy with a few light fingernail scuffs in strong daylight, but nothing I would call a scratch. Close inspection directly beneath halogen light reveals little more than a sparkling rainbow gloss and a few harmless wispy paper hairlines. Both sides lie 100% flat on the turntable with no signs of any dishing or warping.
Play: EXCELLENT
The sound of this played, but very well looked after copy is loud, warm and clear throughout with no background noise or any significant deterioration to the sound quality on or between the music. MY careful play check at volume found no clicks, ticks or any other such audible distractions or faults.
Cover
VERY GOOD
A bright, clean & vivid front panel which displays no significant signs of wear. There is some light wear to the opening edges but no tears or feathering to either or any major damage to the corners. The rear panel has some age-toning and handling marks together with a small written name and number. However both seams and the fully worded spine are all unstressed and unsplit.
Inner-sleeve
VERY GOOD
General age/storagewear but no major faults.
- Strict & grading under strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
- I carefully play every record I sell on an EMT 950 turntable at volume and list all visual and audible faults.
- All the photos in this listing have been taken by myself and are of the actual items for sale.
- All records are professionally & securely in custom-made record mailing boxes with the disc removed from the cover.
