The much sought after original 2012 5LP collectors box, remastered by Bob Irwin. 

Sundazed gathered together, and let Bob Irwin remaster, all the rare original mono versions of the band's first three studio albums along with a superior mono version of Nico's Chelsea Girl (featuring Reed, Cale & Morrison) as well as a definitive Stereo version of the band’s unfinished fourth album! 

Housed in a breathtaking weathered effect record collectors box with all the original LP artwork plus two bonus posters. 

Originally Released USA: October 30th 2012.

BIOGRAPHY

The majority of popular music fans simply weren't ready for the bleakly beautiful vision of VU at their inception. But for those who were, this LP trilogy was a clarion call, drawing together the outsiders who felt disenfranchised and unfulfilled by Top Forty fodder.

Like time capsules, these LPs became catalysts for change as they spread from city to city. Bands formed, scenes coalesced and new musical paths emerged which would eventually branch off into punk, alternative, indie and more. Take a sample from any underground music genre and you're likely to find VU at its core.

This 5LP box rates a whopping 4.73 / 5 on Discogs, though at the time of writing this box is not available on Discogs, such is its rarity.

CONDITION

Collectors Box in VG+ condition. When manufacturers try storing five LP's together in one box (including a gatefold) something usually gives. 

In this instance it is not ring wear, there is no ring wear at all, it was the hinge joints on the outer lid which were manufactured very thin and two of those lid corners have since been tape repaired. 

Some rubbing and fraying is present on lid corners, some rubbing and shelf wear is present along bottom of the box and near the footer credits. 

Ironic then that this deluxe box was created to actually look weathered. 

Please see the many large photographs provided which are not stock photos, but taken of the actual box you are buying.  

All the 5 vinyl LP's look un-played and still housed in their original issue record bags. Some minor surface, spindle area marks to one or two labels from factory. 

Both of the posters and the peelable banana insert look like new, near mint. 

All the 5 LP covers are in great shape, near mint, with no signs of ring wear.
