Label: Verve

 

Info:  U.S East Coast Pressing stereo LP in gatefold sleeve with VERY rare UNPEELED banana on front and airbrushed Emerson torso on rear. MGM Record Manufacturing Division, Bloomfield, New Jersey pressing identified by the "block-shaped 'S'" stamped in the runouts, and also by the label typesetting. 

Has the following matrices:

  • V6-5008 SIDE.1 MGS-558 REV 13 Block-shaped "S"  /  V6-5008 SIDE-2 MGS-559-RE-1 31 Block-shaped "S"

Also includes original Verve inner sleeve (I have placed the vinyl in a plain sleeve to preserve the inner)


This is part of a massive Lou Reed/Velvet Underground collection of LPs, 7"s, CDs, books, memorabilia and signed items - the collector obtained all the signatures personally. Look out for more of this amazing collection coming soon.

 

Condition

Sleeve: Some marking on front/back and general wear, banana looks like someone had started to peel it and has torn it slightly at the top (see photo)

Disc(s): VG+ (uncleaned, some surface marks but these don't affect playback, it plays really well)
