Having amassed 13 studio albums, 20 compilation albums and a whole host of singles, EPs, live albums and radio sessions in their four decades, they have narrowed it down to 40 tracks to give a best of (sort of). As opposed to a list of the Leeds cult heroes' most popular songs (there's no 'California', 'Silver Shorts' or 'Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah') the David Gedge-fronted band use the tracklist to paint a chronological picture of the band, blending in B-sides and album tracks with big singles. It kicks off with their 1985 single 'Go Out & Get 'Em, Boy' where they sound delightfully jangly - like The Velvet Underground spliced with British punk and it culminates with new track 'Hot Wheels' that proves the band have lost none of their potency in the years that have gone by.
