Description

The Smiths – “William, It Was Really Nothing" (1984) original German first press (free shipping / no tariffs)

This is the rare West German 1984 12" maxi-single of The Smiths' "William, It Was Really Nothing" on the Intercord label (INT 125.219). This limited edition is noted for its distinctive splatter or marbled purple vinyl, making it an instant early days collectible. It features the same songs and original sleeve as the U.K version with an uncredited photo of man on a bed (pondering the morning after) taken from a 1982 print advertisement for A.D.S. speakers. Legal action by the speaker company forced the band to change the sleeve for subsequent pressings of the single.

Recorded at JAM studios in July 1984, and produced by studio virtuoso John Porter, William was the band's fifth single reaching #17 on the U.K charts.

This is a chance to own a great vintage Smiths' collectible.
