This outstanding 1st UK MONO pressing of their debut album dates from initial September 1961 release.
A genuine early pressing on the green & gold Columbia label: 33SX 1374
Matrix numbers: XAX 2181-1N & XAX 2182-1N
Stamper codes: 2/GH & 1/GR
Vinyl weight: 153g
Housed in a heavy card stock front laminated, tri-flipback 'Garrod & Lofthouse' printed cover.
Complete with original 'Use Emitex...' poly-lined inner-sleeve.

A beautiful set showing just a couple of barely visible spindle marks around each unworn centre hole.
Disc
Visual: NEAR MINT
Immaculate deep-gloss playing surfaces which are unmarked and appear 'as new' in strong daylight.
Even close inspection directly beneath halogen light reveals nothing more than a couple of wispy marks inner-sleeve & a sparkling rainbow shine.
Audio: MINT
Played once or twice only, the sound quality on this exceptional disc is flawless & wonderful throughout.
Cover: NEAR MINT
A worthy cover for this disc which looks like it left has just left the shop. It is hard to believe it is 56 years old!
The front panel retains an immaculate unworn high-gloss laminate with no 'thumbnail' wrinkles or a single spine bend.
There is a tiny shelfwear rub to the lower right corner but all are sharp and square with no bumps or bruising.
The rear panel is clean & white with just a hint of toning along the unworn opening edge.
All flipbacks are fully intact, both seams are smooth & unstressed and the spine is perfect.
A true archive example which will not require upgrading.
