Description

An original 1st press of TTPD on the UK Decca label from 1969. Matrix 1A/3A. Stampers 1G/1A - putting this LP within the first 2,000 copies ever pressed. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original octagonal gatefold cover. Please note the cover has external flipbacks and this is indicative of 1st issue. Also included is the original Decca red and white octagonal inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In fantastic condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks either side - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Anyone who can appreciate early mono copies of the Stones is really going to love this LP. Audio quality from the mono's is just out-there bold and beautifully transparent. Interference is minimal. All we detected was a couple of crackles in Ruby Tuesday and very little else worthy of note. She's a Rainbow plays really clean and I mean CLEAN!! This copy is very well preserved and, given that this title tends to have been played to death, that is not an easy find. A real corker...
Cover (Ex+) One of THE difficult covers to find in top condition due to the way it was manufactured. This copy is quite possibly the best I've laid my hands on. Lovely shiny front and back. We can only make out a couple of small creases - which is quite unusual. The interior is pretty much immaculate. Edge wear is very light. Just look at the spine..100% intact from top to bottom - very unusual. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and lies perfectly flat. 
Inner (Ex-) Lovely condition. No splits, or writing. Slight ageing, but nothing major.
