Description

An original 1st issue of Goats Heads Soup on the Rolling Stone label. Matrix A2/B5. Labels are consistent with a pressing from toward the end of the initial chart run in late 1973. The deadwax is etched 'Rolling Stone Records' and there's no text in the upper hemisphere of the label. The original promo poster is present, but there is no lyric sheet.
Vinyl (Ex+) In super condition and has clearly seen only light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of very light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are silent audio the audio comes across with perfect clarity. The audio is of the highest quality with lots of transparency. Thankfully interference is practically non-existent. We could detect more than a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated spots [literally]. An impressive rendition and on ethat would be nigh on impossible to better.
Cover (Ex-) In great shape and has been cared for down the years. Lovey clean front without the usual wear and tear. The rear is in great condition too, but with a few indentations which are visible when you angle it to the light. The interior is immaculate. Edge wear is light and the text on the spine is still legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Poster (Ex) No issues at all great condition.
