Description
- Very close to mint (still in shrink-wrap) and extremely rare 1973 Pyramid label funk/free jazz LP “Lalibela” (Pyramid 3093-3) from legendary 1970s Ohio group The Pyramids featuring Idris Ackamoor (called Idrissa on this album).
- The musicians are: Idris Ackamoor (alto and soprano sax, Bailofone, Masenqo, talking drum, Moroccan clay drum), Margo Ackamoor (flute, piccolo, percussion), Kwame Kimathi Asante (Hagstrom bass, Ugandan harp, Ethiopian drum, bamboo flute), Masai (soprano sax, bamboo flute, percussion), Marcel Lytle (drums, percussion), Hekaptah (Conga drums, Osi drum, percussion).
- The tracklist is: “Lalibela” (27:10 minutes long) and “Indigo” (16:45 minutes long).
- The glossy LP looks and plays close to mint. I’m unable to see even one spindle mark on the labels. I don’t rate opened LPs as mint so I’ll call it Mint Minus. The still in shrink-wrap cover has no splits, tears, writing or cutouts and just some very light wear through the shrink in a couple of small spots where the shrink is loose.
- NO reserve on this rare free jazz original LP. I ship worldwide and will combine shipments to save on postage. In the US, the winning bidder pays choice of media mail ($3.50) or priority shipping (based on ZIP code). Good luck!
