This Ghost lightbox is really quite impressive indeed! In my opinion, anything promotion wise from Ghost in the Machine, was the coolest and most collectible of all The Police merchandise! This was never for sale in any store. Not even exactly sure how people got one, but they are rare, and very hard to find!!! I actually saw one of these sell at a big record show for over $500.00, so you know it's rare! I would like it to go to someone else that can appreciate it as much as I have.
This lightbox is roughly 1 foot high, by 2 feet across, and 3" thick. It is cardboard, and black as shown in the scan, and the Ghost digital faces are cut out in the cardboard box, and there is tissue paper, and cellophane in red behind the cut outs. There is a hole in the back of the box, that fits a light socket for the light to go through. Of course this light socket does come with the lightbox, and does indeed work, as I just tried it out, and it works! In the scan, the picture shows this lightbox lit up! Very cool indeed! It also comes with an instruction sheet too. This box is in pretty great shape considering it's age and rarity! It does have some some minor creases in a few spots. And just in case you are wondering, this in an actual "OFFICIAL MARK OF ROXANNE OVERSEAS LIMITED 1981 from A&M RECORDS". It is an authentic promotional piece on The Police.
