Greetings music lovers!  I have decided to let go of the rarities in my personal collection of Police, Sting, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland collectibles so I can go and SEE them on their 2007/2008 tour.  Some items in this collection are one-of-a-kind, autographed, or from my many years of association with the band members.  I will be posting many individual and group offerings, so please bookmark my auctions for future reference.  Hope to see you at a show!

Here’s one of my favorite Police items ever, and one of the handsomest!  Twin to the last offered…

PLATINUM RECORD AWARD presented for The Police’s “Ghost in the Machine”!

Classic design, simple, straightforward, lovely clean lines and in Excellent Condition!

No noticeable fading (hey, it’s 25 years old!), record condition and dipping excellent and no discoloration.  Label excellent, plaque excellent, Cover art excellent.  Some very minor nicks and dings in the frame.  Presented to Terry Gates, (who seems to be involved in special Music education now.)   Frame size 17” x 21” outside.

This award was made before the holographic RIAA logos were used, and is called an ‘in-house presentation’, which means it was given for someone working within A&M Records.  Original frame and ‘floating’ mounting on everything inside, but I did replace the original glass with a very special high-impact, low glare glass substitute which greatly decreases the chances of damage during shipping.  Ready to hang!

Winning bidder to pay a flat $20 US for special packaging (custom portrait boxing) and all mailing fees.  I will get exact quotes for you on shipping cost depending on destination.  I will charge you ONLY what the actual shipping costs, including insurance and delivery guarantee (where applicable.)  I have shipped several record awards before and they have all arrived in excellent condition and their new owners were very happy.

I would LIKE to sell this Platinum Award and its twin Gold Award as a set, so if any one bidder wins BOTH of them I will deduct the full handling costs of one of the discs and combine the shipping.  They’ll look just amazing next to each other on your wall!
