Description
The Maytals Monkey Man
Very rare 1st Press Trojan 1970.
It took me years to find an original copy and be able to buy it as original copies sell for big money. And then eventually I managed to find another copy hence I am selling this one now.
Laminated front. For its age this is glossy and looking great. Some stain that doesnt even show cause of the background pic. And the remains of a sticker that was removed. Nothing bad. The spine is readable some small scuffs. The back is clear. No writings. The occasional wear round the cover and corners.
The cover is also solid no splits.
For an original 1st press this cover looks really really good taking into consideration that this is from the 1970 and usually reggae lps from that era can be not so good.
The labels are clean. Side 1 has small scratches and hairlines. It has a slightly big scratch not very deep that creates clicks but nothing too bad. The usual scratch sounds between the tracks. Last track went on repeat at some point. Then again my record player is very old.
Side 2 very clean I would say. Plays well throughout.
This is rare. Reissues come and go but this is the real thing people.
