Description
The Kinks were an English band formed in North London in 1964 by brothers Ray Davies (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), and Dave Davies (backing vocals). The band emerged during the height of British rhythm and blues, and the Merseybeat. "The Great Lost Kinks Album" is an unofficial collection of outtakes and rarities recorded between 1966 and 1970. The album became an immediate collector's item when Ray Davies took legal action against Reprise Records, resulting in discontinuing the album in 1975. It has been out of print for many years. Davies first learned of the album's existence from the US Billboard Chart. Kinks fans would love to hear this ragtag but worthy collection. The cover is in very good condition with a blacked out spine. The vinyl is in excellent condition and includes the printed insert sheet. Reprise Records, #MS 2127, STEREO LP. Thank you for looking. (Grading Order: Mint, Near Mint, Excellent, Very Good+, Very Good, Good, etc...)
