For sale is this UK original vinyl album by The Kinks. Entitled Kinks Part 1 - Lola Versus Powerman And The Moneygoround, it contains 13 tracks (see pictures for track listing) and is housed in an unlaminated gatefold sleeve. On the Pye label, the catalogue number is NSPL 18359 and the date of issue is 1970. This is the first pressing with blue labels and original Copyright Control publishing credits on the labels (see pics). It was repressed shortly afterwards with updated publishing credits then again in 1974 with the new purple/pink label design.
Condition
The vinyl is only in Good condition visually but both sides play through with no jumps or sticks.
The labels are in Very Good condition, clean and bright with clear, perfect printing but some spindle wear and marks.
The gatefold cover is in Very Good Minus condition with some edge and corner wear, slight grubbiness to the white background and a small surface tear from a sticker on the front in the top right corner (see pics). The spine is complete with some wear but mostly legible printing.
All vinyl records are strictly graded according to Record Collector magazine's grading system, the long established UK standard, with any specific flaws mentioned along with the grading. They are sent in custom-made mailers, with built-in or added stiffeners, and are packaged outside their sleeves to prevent edge splits. Singles without a picture sleeve will either have a plain sleeve or a correct-era original (not repro) record company sleeve (stated above). Original record company sleeves may not be the exact sleeve issued with the single so may have a different catalogue number hand-written in the corner but they will be the correct design for the single. They may have a bit of wear, writing, stickers, sticker marks etc but will be in a generally good, useable condition without edge splits or sellotape.
