Hi, my name is Tommy and I’ve been collecting records for many, many years now. I’ve taken the hard decision to sell off some of my collection, so I can concentrate my collection in one specific area. So please look at my other listings. All my records are stored in protective plastic sleeves, standing upright with no pressure on them. Will be listing many more over the next few months..:(
Listed here is a RARE album by The Kinks titled The Kinks. This is a UK Original 1st Pressing on PYE NPL 18096. This mono copy is pressed on the very collectable Pink PYE label. The record label is pink and has the “recording first published 1964” statement which only the first pressings had. This record is becoming harder to find these days and this particular copy sounds and plays great. Laminated flipback sleeve is printed by ‘Garrod & Lofthouse’. Also has the early matrix numbers.
Matrix numbers: NN 1096 A2T / NN 1096 B2T
VINYL - Both sides of the record are in EX+ condition. Tiny trace light/minor background noise/static, which is only noticeable on the run-ins/outs and between the tracks, and even then it’s barely noticeable. NO Skips, NO Jumps, NO Sticking. There are a couple of light pops. There are a couple of hairline scratches, which don’t affect the sound quality, NO Clicks. Sounds superb!
SLEEVE - The laminated flipback sleeve is in VG+ condition. Tiny trace of spine wear (text is all readable), tiny trace of edge wear. NO Tears or rips, NO splits, there are a few light creases. NO Ring wear. The only real fault with the sleeve is there are someone’s initials on the rear in top right corner, and there are a couple of finger marks on the left hand side of rear sleeve. Still has that lovely Shine/sheen to it.
Labels - The labels are in EX condition. Some spindle marks, NO Writing, pen marks or Graffiti.
Inner – The inner is in EX condition. NO Tears, NO Rips, NO Writing, pen marks or Graffiti. NO Splits.
(note: never grade Mint as I believe once it’s been played, even just once it’s no longer Mint)
