Just amazing! The most amateurish record I've ever heard. These folks make the Shaggs,
the Keggs, and Lucia Pamela sound like American Idol winners. The guitarist couldn't stay in tune if his
life depended on it, and the female vocalist sounds like a dying sheep. Really.
No wonder this never got past the acetate stage.
I'm not sure if this should be filed under garage, rockabilly, rock 'n roll, or basura.
Play this at your Halloween party, and really scare the neighbors!
This looks like a strong VG, but there are two flaws. Someone messed up when they recorded "I Go Ape",
and the grooves stop before the end of the song. Maybe that's a good thing! Just so you know, you won't be getting a
complete song, but that's just the way this acetate was made. (The other three songs are complete.)
Second, there are several skips in "Old Black Magic".
Maybe you can get them out, and maybe you can't. Since this isn't pressed on strong vinyl, I didn't try.
Perhaps that's just the way they sang the song. With voices like these clowns, it doesn't really make much difference!
Buy more than one record, and save on postage.
Important note: More and more packages sent overseas are getting hung up
in customs. It is not unusual for some packages to take 6-8 weeks to reach buyers,
even though they're being sent out within a day or two of payment.
Germany, France, Italy, Greece, and Australia have all reported longer than
usual customs delays. Please be patient -- I mail packages out very quickly,
but the rest is up to the postal service!
