This is an early edition of this very rare mono version of The Kinks Greatest Hits.  The dead wax shows the pressing stamper to be 1E on side 1 and 1F on side 2.   I have it on right now and I'm listening to Set Me Free.   I don't remember any records I bought in 1966 sounding so good.  Of course I wasn't listening to them on a Linn LP12 with a ClearAudio cartridge.  This is a great sounding record. 

This is an UltraLP, hand selected for the quality of its vinyl.  This LP has been cleaned using the Disc Doctor archival record cleaning process described below which will achieve the best possible sound one can get from this record.

The labels are perfect on both sides.  The cover shows a lot of normal shelf wear for its age and the seams have split on the spine.   The original white paper inner sleeve is in great condition.  

The Vinyl in in excellent visual condition, with some minor surface scuffs and light scratches.  The sound however, is just short of spectacular. 

Many of the records in this auction have been culled as duplicates from my personal collection of over 4000 LPs. Others are more recent acquisitions for eBay, that I treat with the same respect as my own. 

My Process for handling records

This record has been cleaned using The Disc Doctor’s Miracle Record Cleaner, which is used by the Library of Congress and recommended by Mobile Fidelity, TAS, Stereophile, and Better Records. 

1.     Visual Inspection – discard any major flawed records

2.     Remove static with ZeroStat

3.     Brief treatment with Discwasher to remove surface dust

4.     Complete wash and double rinse with Disc Doctor and RO water

5.     Remove rinse with Nitty Gritty vacuum record cleaner

6.     Air dry in dust-free space

7.     Place in new Mobile Fidelity Master antistatic sleeve.

8.     Stack LP, cover, and original liner in poly outer sleeve
