Description
DESCRIPTION: The Kinks- 1st self titled Lp. 1st UK press with Front lamnated flipback sleeve and correct advertising inner. LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: PYE NPL 18096 YEAR OF RELEASE: 1964 COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): F+/G+. Vinyl is clean with a decent sheen. It has a lot of hairlines and some feelable marks. It was one of my own copies until a recent upgrade. Played passages of this today on my budget deck. Please dont buy this to play on a decent/sensitive/expensive deck. Sits flat on the turntable. The music sounds VG. Its pretty clear and loud. It does skip on a few tracks hence the low grade. Apart from the skips it actually plays really well. A true testament to UK 60s vinyl that this is still so listenable. There is really no background sound, just the odd tick. Cover is firm and square and has only light to moderate edgewear (no splits), moderate cornerwear and near heavy creasing. It has moderate discolouration to rear of sleeve hence low grade. Flipbacks are clean and intact. Clean labels. Pye inner is clean with fairly light wear and a split to one side only. No writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears. PLEASE CHECK OUT MY OTHER CLASSIC/HARD ROCK LISTINGS IN MY EBAY SHOP. . Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading system. I DO PLAY EVERY RECORD I LIST NOW even though its often just quite briefly. Please bear in mind you may get a touch of background sound, even if its just on intros and between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades. I REMOVE ALL VINYL FROM SLEEVES PRIOR TO POSTING. RECORDS ARE SENT IN BEST QUALITY MAILERS WITH 2 STIFFENERS. ALL ITEMS (OR COMBINATIONOF ITEMS) SELLING FOR OVER £30 MUST BE SENT SIGNED FOR OR AIRSURE TO COMPLY WITH PAYPAL POLICIES- ASK ME FOR FURTHER DETAILS.
