Sir Guy (Sin Guy) I Need You Baby Raw Soul Georgia Walk DPG 102

This is the typo issue of this 45 and most likely less commen of the two. "Sin" Guy was of course Sir Guy. On his side is Raw Soul as the backing group, augmented with a horn sound that must have included some of the Rocking Cavaliers, plus a female chorus for some call and response. Also issued as Let Home Cross Your Mind by Sir Guy & The Speller Brothers Band, the version here has more of an arrangement that creates a tension in it's build up. Raw Soul is on the flip with an instrumental. Georgia Walk was originally published with the working title of Gangster Walk. Also connected to this; Don't Let A Man Get Down On You, unreleased at the time, is to be heard on the Ol' Virginia Soul...Encore CD. It is a different take/mix of this Georgia Walk with Lenis Guess vocals. All three of these tunes are on that OVS CD via the master tapes. But for those who want the rare original...here 'tis. Issued in the Summer of 1972.
