As stated in book REVIEW: This is an absolutely amazing recording by Nicol Williamson and aimed at hard- & soft-core Tolkein fans. I would say that it would be treasured by anyone ages 10 and over. Williamson plays all of the characters and his talent is such that one knows who each character is just by the various voices that he uses (Smaug is wonderful, as is Gollum).
