The Germs Forming 45 Record Signed by Pat Smear & Don Bolles 1977 Live Autograph
I went to the Germs tour in 2007 that kicked off the movie "What We Do Is Secret," with original members Lorna Doom, Pat Smear, Don Bolles, along with Shane West, who was portraying Darby Crash. Interestingly, this 45 was published 30 years previous in 1977! Anyway, I brought this record and a copy of the Germs, "Live at the Whiskey" with me and got signatures from some of the band members who hung around. While I couldn't get Lorna out to sign anything, Pat was really cool and we talked quite a bit after the show. Don was INSANE, giving Germs burns to youngsters willing to take the heat and he gave me shit about bringing a record he didn't play on. However, watching him play the skins made me realize that he was and is the only drummer with his oddball style.I bought this record new (probably from Zed's record store in CA) and have owned it ever since. As you can see, I take great pride in preserving my records and this one is no exception. So, if you're looking for some rare Germs music, combined with signatures from two of their members, feel free to bid like a Manimal!
