Description

SUPER RARE LOCAL PRESSING of The Freeze's 1980 debut single, the infamous HATE TOURISTS backed by the oddity DON'T FORGET ME TOMMY. 
All copies were released locally on Cape Cod, and only 500 had sleeves. There are a few variations of sleeve colors, this is the gold/orangish one. 
This copy has been with me for 45 years and a few near-death experiences (most experienced when in the company of said band).  I have graded it VG but please see photos and watch/listen to (censored by necessity) video clip to judge for yourself. This was a pretty low fidelity pressing, so even with surface noise and some pops, it doesn't sound all too different from a perfect copy. No skips or jumps. The cover is all there but shows its age, it is split along the top edge. 
"Tourists" was featured on the first KILLED BY DEATH vinyl compilation of rare 45's, and has become a very desirable collectors item ever since. It has been rereleased countless times, because originals are super scarce. 
After this single was released and hardcore emerged in the Northeast, The Freeze became a much harder-faster band. They were featured on THIS IS BOSTON NOT LA (a Freeze song) alongside  other such Boston HC originators as Jerry's Kids, The FU's and Gang Green--all of whom The Freeze predated. Bizarrely, after nearly half a century and many albums, The Freeze continues to exist to this day.
