The Screw-Part I" b/w "The Screw-Part II" by The Crystals is a Repro of Philles 111 which was originally released in 1963. This repro came out in the early 70s, but now, even this repro is becoming hard to find. The details on the label are very good, not sloppy like I have found on other repros.
One of the stories I have on this 45 in which I believe to be true is that Phil wanted to control the label from his silent partner,Les who was dishing money into the label.When Les recieved the copy of this record,he took what ever was handy, probably a pair of scissors, and stabbed the record.Every now and then, that copy of the 45 turns up. This is a good clean copy of the repro version.Comes With paper & poly sleeve.
