Description

Velvet Underground and Nico 1968 MGM Vinyl Pressing Partially Unpeeled


Cover in Good condition, no seam splits externally, split in the gatefold as pictured. Water damage as pictured front and back. Banana is mostly intact with a little cracking.


Record - which has been ultrasonically cleaned - is in Poor shape with a lot of light scratching with a couple of quick jumps at the tail end of Heroin and potentially in a couple of other songs though not consistently so. (I’ve listened to this copy several times and one night there were three skips in I’m Waiting For The Man and after some extra cleaning there were tics but no skips, likewise for one jump during I’ll Be Your Mirror). Anyway, your mileage may vary on this one, but all in all it’s actually a pretty nice listen for the visual shape it’s in AND accounting for a skip or two. Light surface noise is usually, but not always, there and when it is, it’s not super distracting. A few louder tics here and there and some much softer.


It’s definitely not your final copy, but it’s all around much better than I expected warts and all.
