Grade: VG+/Near Mint ("Fool" is VG+ with surface noise noticeable during intro; "Right Kind Of Lovin" is Near Mint but the label has a very small wear mark)
Here is a rare and hard-to-find record by The Cadillacs from 1964. This great New York doo wop group had hits in the 1950's such as "Speedo," "Gloria," "Peek A Boo," "Please Mr. Johnson," and others.
Two of The Cadillacs, Earl "Speedo" Carroll and Ronnie Bright later went on to join The Coasters.
The members of The Cadillacs who appear on this record are Ray Brewster, Milton Love, Bobby Baylor, and Freddy Barksdale. Speedo had already joined The Coasters by the time of this release.
This record was recorded for Esther Navarro's Arctic Records. Navarro had previously been credited as co-writer of The Cadillacs' hit "Speedo" in 1955. The song "Fool" was written by Jesse Powell and Esther Navarro. In 1958, Powell's name was listed on a Cadillacs record "Ain't You Gonna" which was listed as by "Jesse Powell And The Caddys."
The Cadillacs were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall Of Fame in 2004.
