There have been so few vinyl LPs produced over the last 5 years that you should never pass up the opportunity to upgrade your collection. They're each very limited in their pressings and disappear with extraordinary quickness from the vinyl market. This causes prices to skyrocket because once they are gone, they are gone forever! Don't second-guess yourself with this chance to upgrade your collection because before you know it, the opportunity will have passed forever.

Most Byrds albums, in addition to having great music, have a historical significance to them that makes them individually identifiable when it comes to Byrds history. For example: "Mr. Tambourine Man," the group's debut is known as a pioneering album in folk-rock. "Sweetheart of the Rodeo" was an innovative crossover to country-rock with drastic line-up changes, as did "Dr. Byrds & Mr. Hyde" which began Roger McGuinn's role as the Byrds' leader as well as the entrance of more new faces.

But 1970's UNTITLED, originally a double-LP, does not have a strong historical hook; the only thing historically significant would probably be the entrance of bassist Skip Battin, or that this album is hailed as the "last great Byrds album." Other than that, it's not the history that gives this collection its individuality, but rather the remarkable music alone, making UNTITLED a rival of FARTHER ALONG for the title of the best latter-day Byrds record.

The bonus disc UNISSUED carries on Columbia/Legacy's loyal treatment of Byrds Remasters, featuring 14 unreleased tracks and an unlisted version of `Amazing Grace.' Like the original album, it too is split between great live performances and imaginative studio cuts.
