This sale is of three related items; A double LP plus two books.
The double LP is described as a vocal interpretation of the complete verse from The Butterfly Ball and the Grasshopper's Feast with narration by Judi Dench and Michael Hordern, music and vocals by Rod Edwards and Roger Hand.
Released on the Argo division of Decca Records, this rare 2 LP set was published and released in 1975. The year of the first edition/pressing was also 1975, and this album is numbered ZRG4351 and ZSW.557/8.
This double album has been stored carefully and well looked after over the years.
The first book is the beautifully illustrated The Butterfly Ball and the Grasshopper's Feast published in 1975 by Grossman Publishers, New York. The colours of the illustrations remain strong and vibrant and this book is in excellent condition having also been well looked after over the years.
The second book is the sequel; The Peacock Party. With beautiful illustrations, this edition was published by The Viking Press New York, and was printed in Verona. Other interesting such details can be viewed in the photograph. This book is also in excellent condition, with the colours of the illustrations also remaining strong and vibrant.
As they are related, all three items are sold as a package, and as they become increasingly harder to find they are likely to increase in value, making them an interesting gift or addition to anyone's record and library collection.
