This is a breathtaking, authentic 1969 US first stereo pressing of A Gathering Of Promises by The Bubble Puppy, released on the legendary International Artists label (IA-LP10). Famous for their blistering dual-guitar attack and melodic hooks, this Austin-based powerhouse delivered one of the defining sonic masterpieces of the late-sixties underground scene, spearheaded by their explosive psych-rock anthem Hot Smoke and Sasafrass. Original pressings on International Artists are notoriously difficult to find in clean condition, making this archival specimen an essential prize for serious collectors of garage and acid rock.
This rare gem survives in spectacular condition. The vinyl grades at an exceptional, glossy Near Mint minus (NM-) to strong Very Good Plus (VG+). It displays brilliant original luster with only a couple of faint, microscopic paper wisps visible under direct lighting, promising a pristine, high-fidelity playback experience that a modern reissue simply cannot replicate. Unbelievably, the thick cardboard jacket remains completely preserved in its original factory shrink wrap with the hyper-rare, original Hot Smoke song hype sticker fully intact on the front. The jacket grades at an immaculate Near Mint (NM), showing crisp corners, rigid edges, and vibrant colors totally shielded from decades of shelf wear.
