Description

'Trafalgar' was the Bee Gees eighth album.  Released by Atlantic Records (SD-703) in 1971, it contained the Bee Gees first #1 single, "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart". Produced by the Bee Gees and Robert Stigwood, the concept of Trafalgar as an album was influenced by Pocock's painting "The Battle of Trafalgar", which graces the front and back cover.  I consider this album to be one of their finest; showcasing their incredible gift for melody, craftiness, and their trademark lush harmonies.  The copy I am offering is a 1st U.S. white label promo pressing, among the first to be distributed to radio stations for exclusive air play.  It sounds superb....this George Piros mastered pressing is well balanced, detailed, and distortion-free....a real gem.
Condition of Gatefold Jacket: Excellent(+) .....beautiful condition with only some minor scuffing to bottom edge and spine.  Hype and DJ stickers on front cover. Inner gatefold is near-perfect with evidence minor bulging to right panel.  Includes original die-cut inner-sleeve.
Condition of Record: Near Mint(-) ......for a DJ copy the record is in extraordinary shape....nice shine to both sides, labels are flawless and one can only see some faint, wispy sleeve-removal marks under strong light. Record has substantial weight.  A superb copy and extremely difficult to find in this condition.
