The Beatles "Abbey Road" (1969) original first press vinyl LP with misprint sleeve variant (the misaligned apple on rear sleeve)
Apple Records ?– PCS 7088.
Matrix / Runout (Side A Run Out): YEX 749-2 Matrix / Runout (Side B Run Out): YEX 750-1
This first press has variations on the sleeve. The apple logo on the rear sleeve is misaligned with the rest of the text AND 'Her Majesty' is also missing from the sleeve and the vinyl label. The front cover photo is slightly larger than the usual sleeve with the picture shows less of the trees and zebra crossing (upper and bottom right). Small ? on labels.
Condition using Record Collector grading. SLEEVE: good condition with normal wear and tear. The laminate does have creases but no other major defects. The sleeve has rippling probably caused by past storage in damp conditions. This is only visible in bright light. VINYL: good condition with visible scuff marks but the listening experience is very good. There are low level crackles at the beginning and end of both sides. And there are a few very soft 'pops' on two tracks which last a few seconds only. The rest of the record plays very well and is a testament to how well records withstood being handled and played during this era.
RE: postage on International Shipping. I list the more expensive postage cost to places like USA, Japan and Australia. But for European buyers it will be cheaper so please wait for my invoice - especially on multiple purchases. Thanks.
