Description
An original 1 EMI Box copy of WTB on the UK Parlophone label from 1969. Matrix 2/2. "Gramaphone" is still showing in the perimeter text and there's only 1 EMI Box showing - indicative of a late'69 pressing.The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original tri-flipback stereo cover as was used in the late 60's. Note that these late 60's heavy pressings deliver excellent audio just like those from a couple of years earlier. The original sepia toned inner sleeve is still present. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection there are a couple of light marks, and a couple of very superficial radial marks [only just visible]. I've inspected and tested these marks... they are top-level and superficial..I'm not hearing anything entering the audio spectrum. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one deviation. Intros and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with superb clarity. All I could make out interference wise was a few crackles occasionally in 'Postman'. Still a great rendition - it just won't play quite as darn clean as the rest of the LP. Top quality...
Cover (Ex) In lovely condition given the passage of time. A nigh on perfect front with hardly any creasing or ageing. The rear look superb and has pretty much totally avoided the ageing process. There are a couple of slight marks over toward the opening, but I think at least one of them probably occurred during the original printing process. All flipback perfectly intact and secure. Edge wear is slight and the spine 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Ex) In lovely condition with little ageing. No splits.
