Description
For sale is an unusual and highly collectable copy of "The Beatles White Album" a 2 x 12" LPs double album by The Beatles from 1968.
This record was part of a lot that I won at a local auction, so the history attached to it is unknown.
EMI Apple Label - cat no: PMC 7068 for record 2 and PCS 7067 for record 1.
30 songs in total.
Mono and stereo.
Matrix record 1 - YEX 709/10-1 and for record 2 - XEX 711/2-1/2.
This copy is I believe part 1st and part 2nd pressing. The mono record (2) has a dark green label and record 1 slightly lighter but both with "Sold in UK" text and housed in black inners. Gatefold sleeve with top opening. Poster / lyric sheet and 4 colour prints. Album no:0160883.
GRADING
All records are graded visually unless stated.
The records show signs of having been played with surface marks present on all 4 sides and are rated in VG/Good condition overall for their age.
The black inners are well worn with one worse than the other. The better one has general wear and creasing with a small section missing on one side from the centre downwards. The other one has spine splits, tears and creasing.
The 4 colour prints seem in EX condition.
The poster / lyric sheet has general wear, creasing and staining with some splits/tears on the folds but all still intact.
The laminated gatefold sleeve number 0160883 has general wear, creasing and some staining with some scuffs on the side spine. On that basis, I would rate it in VG/Good condition overall.
A very low starting bid for this unusual and collectable copy due to the above.
