IN REALLY BEAUTIFUL COMPLETE CONDITION, WITH **MINT LP** WINGS ALBUM, COMPLETE WITH TWO STICKERS & TWO POSTERS, and Original printed card record sleeve.
‘Venus and Mars’ was released by MPL/Capitol Records, in the UK on the 30th May 1975, the album contains 13 tracks. This is the first solo "Beatle" Album NOT to feature the Apple Records label, and the first to feature Paul's "M.P.L." logo.
This ** FIRST ISSUE** UK Vinyl LP, on the Custom Black with Silver print Capitol Label, with 'Made in Gt Britain', and MPL printed to both sides of the record labels.
Both Record labels are in SUPER Mint condition, new looking record labels, showing no centre spindle lines on either side.
The side 1 matrix YEX 945-2U, and Side 2 matrix YEX 946-3U.
Side 1 stampers: GDD there are no visible Side 2 stamper letters, only the number 1.
The dead wax area on the A-side has "A Porky Prime Cut", and on the B-side has "M Room".
Both sides of the Vinyl Disc are in SUPERB Mint condition. Both Vinyl surfaces are as new.
Both sides of the LP play EXTREMELY WELL with NO skips or clicks, great tracks to hear again.
The album comes in its ORIGINAL Printed Card Venus and Mars Inner Sleeve , which is a SUPER IMPRESSIVE Mint Minus example, there are NO splits to any of the edges.
…And is protected in its ORIGINAL Award Winning Gatefold Sleeve, being voted the "Album Cover of the Year" by the music industry trade magazine, "Music Week". The gatefold sleeve was designed by Hipgnosis and George Hardie. The front cover picture of two snooker balls was taken by Linda McCartney, and the centre spread picture was taken by Aubrey Powell in the desert in North Carolina. The rear of the cover features the lyrics. Also supplied free with this album are two posters and two "Venus and Mars" planet stickers.
Both Posters are in machine folded Mint condition.
Both stickers are in Excellent Plus condition with very light creases.
The Gatefold sleeve is in, SUPERB Near Mint condition. All edges, corners and Spine edge are FLAT and SQUARE, there is NO record indentation, the Wide Spine is FIRM and UNDAMAGED and the wording Venus and Mars ‘Wings and PCTC 254’ clearly printed, – a very nice sturdy constructed undamaged sleeve .
A stunning condition example of this **ORIGINAL** WINGS album, complete with it’s original 2 posters and 2 stickers.
