Description
The BEATLES White Album EXPORT Copy
For sale is this ultra rare UK EXPORT copy of the Beatles 1968 WHITE ALBUM. This album was of course on the APPLE label in the UK but some overseas countries had no licensing agreement with APPLE so it was released on the Black and Yellow PARLOPHONE label on P-PCS 7067/8. This copy is complete with the original die cut black inner sleeves, four portrait photos and the lyric sheet/poster.
Top Loading cover with stereo written on the back top right hand side. Number 0336265 on the front with The Beatles embossed. The cover is in very good condition. Some discolouration and ringwear, but strong, intact, with a clear proud, spine with most of the laminate covering still present.
Record 1: YEX 709-1 (2 GDD) YEX 710-1 (2 GDR)
VISUAL: EXCELLENT, minor surface marks, nothing untoward. Labels clean and clear, minor spindle markings. Just some slight bubbling on side 2 label. No writing or stickers.
AUDIO: Overall, EXCELLENT with minor background noise EXCEPT for an annoying STICK at the beginning of ‘While My Guitar Gently Weeps’. I have examined this side of the record very carefully and I can’t see or feel any blemish/scratch/whatever but unfortunately I can’t get my stylus to play through it. Side 2 is excellent all the way through.
Record 2: YEX 711-1 (3 GPT) Yex 712-1 (3 GOG)
Visual and Audio: EXCELLENT. Very minor, superficial marks on the vinyl. Great sound with very little background noise. Nice, clear and clean labels.
The BLACK DIE CUT inners are VERY GOOD (1) has a rip down one seam. EXCELLENT (2) just a slight tear on the open hole side. Overall most original inners will be in worse condition than these two.
The 4 portrait photos are stunning, near mint. As is the poster.
This record has been WELL LOOKED AFTER over the years. The only FLAW is the STICK on side 1. However it is still a mighty rare record and will be a great addition to any BEATLES collection.
