THE BEATLES WHITE ALBUM 1968 UK EXPORT PARLOPHONE Stereo TOP LOADING P-PCS 7067/68 Y&B
Here’s a rare and very clean original 1968 1st press export version of the legendary “White album” from the Beatles, complete with the huge Poster, 4 photos and the original black inner sleeves, in correct Top loading laminated gatefold sleeve with “stereo” printed in the back.
Description (Visual and audio):
Record 1: Visually (Seen under direct sunlight) a few absolutely inaudible and very superficial scuffs (these scuffs are only visible if you tilt the record to the light) Record 1 plays EXCELLENT with no disturbances, no clicks, pops, just minor bg noise between tracks, otherwise a real clear BRIGHT dynamic sound, just fantastic.
Record 2: Visually (Seen under direct sunlight) Side 1 has 1 thin hairline across the whole side that is not feelable (very superficial) and absolutely inaudible. One tiny scuff over “Birthday” is also completely inaudible. Side 2 has ultra light scuffing (Also seen only when you tilt the record to the light). Record 2 plays EXCELLENT with no disturbances, no clicks, pops, just minor bg noise between tracks exactly as record 1. Overall very clear BRIGHT dynamic sound, just fantastic for both these records.
Both records come close to a solid EX, especially when it comes to the audio grading. Spindle holes are quite clean as well proving this hasn’t been played a lot.
The 4 Beatles pictures are included and the original huge poster as well. All 4 pictures as well as the poster in great keeper NM shape!
The cover:
The fully laminated Garrod & Lofthouse Top-opening gatefold cover is in the best shape I have ever seen for an export version! Low Numbered: No 0508301 it still retains a wonderful glossy shine (Really rare for this album!) and is flat and shiny with just a little age wear along the edges, a little bit of yellowing on the last three letters of the word “Beatles”, again the inner gatefold is incredibly clean. You probably won’t see another one like this for a long time. “Stereo” indicator printed on the back panel.
MATRIX: (Correct EXPORT press Matrix)
YEX 709-1
YEX 710-1
YEX 711-1
YEX 712-1
MOTHER STAMPERS:
Side 1. " 3 GG"
Side 2. '' 5 GRO''
Side 3. '' 5 PA''
Side 4. '' G PL''
ALL VERY FIRST ISSUES OF THE WHITE ALBUM CAME WITH TOP LOADING, GARROD AND LOFTHOUSE GATEFOLD SLEEVES WITH BLACK INNERS, POSTER AND FOUR COLOUR PRINTS. These albums were pressed for exclusive distribution to overseas markets in very small quantities.
Here’s a chance to grab one of these at a fair starting price considering the scarcity in this particular condition.
Please note that this is not a top MINT condition, not for MINT freaks (As far as I know MINT state commands $15.000 or more) but this is from all perspectives a far better condition than most copies that usually turn up. Definitely close to EX and for sure very hard, if not impossible to upgrade!
10 days auction, ending on Tuesday January 27th. Listed at 99 cents with NO RESERVE. Best bidder wins!
