THE BEATLES - SGT PEPPERS LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND
This 1st UK MONO pressing dates from the initial release date of June 1967. A stunning high grade copy on the black yellow Parlophone label with 'Sold in UK..' text and KT tax code.
We are delighted to offer this stunning and beautiful UK 1st pressing copy of this seminal album. The record has incredible audio throughout and comes in its original shop fresh cover which looks and feels like it was purchased only yesterday.
Sgt Pepper has now been digitally re-mastered on several occasions; whether the sound has improved or not is debatable however the 1967 mono mix was and still is the only version to have been supervised by The Beatles themselves, thus making it the definitive version.

CONDITION
Disc
Audio: MINT-
The entire record plays with superb clarity with no trace of groove wear or distortion to any of the music signals and no audible surface noise. The bass frequency is clear and free from any distortion. There are no pops or ticks to any of the the music. A truly stunning audio experience which will not disappoint.
Visual: EXC/Nr MINT
The lack of banding meant that Pepper records were often scratched by fans unsuccessfully trying to locate their favourite tracks. This vinyl however is a stunning looking record which has clearly been looked after since new. The record appears mint in strong daylight and shows only faint signs of light handling and whispy sleeve removal marks under a bright halogen light. The heavy duty vinyl lies 100% flat on the turntable.
Labels: EXC/Nr MINT
A great set of labels showing only a minimum of spindle trails but with no writing or ‘touch ups’ to either label. A KT tax code is visible on side 1.
Cover:
MINT–
An absolute stunning cover which still retains its shop freshness. The laminate still gleams like new and is without any trace of wear. Both front and rear panels are flawless showing no marks or thumbnails whatsoever. All corners are sharp. The spine shows no signs of ageing and is in pristine condition. The only imperfection to this magnificent cover is some light thumbnail creasing to the opening edge on the inside of the interior gatefold. A truly beautiful example of this iconic and seminal Sir Peter Blake cover and now extremely rare in this condition.
Cardboard cut-out: MINT
It appears that the cardboard cut-out has never been removed from the sleeve since its purchase in 1967 and is accordingly in mint condition.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT+
Original 1967 psychedelic inner with no seam splits.
Matrix numbers: XEX 637-1 & XEX 638-1N
Stamper codes: 6/GRM & 6/ATT
