SGT PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND

1969 UK ONE EMI BOX **MONO** LP

Available only between late '69 & '72 the rare final mono pressing of the '60's was on the 'One EMI Box' label.
Judging from the inner-sleeve, advertising the latest EMI/Motown releases, this copy was bought in 1970.
This pressing sold poorly making it one of the rarest and most difficult to locate of all the Sgt Pepper UK pressings.

This 1969 MONO copy is on the black & silver 'One EMI Box' Parlophone label PMC 7027
Both labels omit the 'Sold in UK..' text but carry the 'Gramophone Co Ltd...' rim text.
The 'KT' tax/price code is NOT visible on any label.
Housed in a fully laminated, internal flipback, gatefold 'Garrod & Lofthouse' sleeve
Complete with illustrated EMI/Motown 1970 advertising inner and cut-out sheet.

Visual: VERY GOOD PLUS Handled and played with care showing only sleeve removal hairlines and a few light marks under intense direct light.

Audio: VERY GOOD PLUS

This, the last and best sounding mono pressing of the 1960's, has been frequently played but still sounds great.
There is some light audible wear during some of the loud passages of music but there are no clicks, jumps or repeats.

Sleeve: VERY GOOD PLUS

Clean and strong with a vibrant front panel displaying some light handling and storage wear.
The spine is clean and highly readable. The inner gatefold is superb and without fault.
The rear has a small piece of laminate missing from the bottom right corner, but is free from marking or writing.
Please note that this sleeve has only the mono catalogue number listed on the rear top right-hand corner
