Background...

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band is the eighth studio album by the English rock band the Beatles. Released on 26 May 1967,[nb 1] Sgt. Pepper is regarded by musicologists as an early concept album that advanced the roles of sound composition, extended form, psychedelic imagery, record sleeves, and the producer in popular music. The album had an immediate cross-generational impact and was associated with numerous touchstones of the era's youth culture, such as fashion, drugs, mysticism, and a sense of optimism and empowerment. Critics lauded the album for its innovations in songwriting, production and graphic design, for bridging a cultural divide between popular music and high art, and for reflecting the interests of contemporary youth and the counterculture.


The vinyl has a beautiful glossy sheen and  sits completely flat with no warping. Nice clean labels and stunning spindle holes! There is a couple of very light surface marks and one tiny score to side two and light spindle marks but otherwise, near mint!!


The outer GATEFOLD cover is good with age related wear to the corners/edges as to be expected for an item of this age and bears a large crease to the back. And of course displays the Saught after "EXTRA WIDE SPINE" which is in PERFECT condition! Most wide spines are 6mm this one is 8mm!


The green Peter Blake cutouts are MINT.


Includes the often missing Red Fool's Swirl inner  which has retained amazing colour and has NO splits or tears - shows MJS to the back.


OVERALL A FABULOUS ORIGINAL AND COMPLETE PIECE TO ADD TO YOUR MUSICAL COLLECTION!!!
