1957 UK **HMV** 1st PRESSING LP

This is a rare 1957 first pressing on the UK HMV label: CLP 1105
Both labels carry 'Gramophone Co Ltd...' rims and the distinctive 1950's EMI grooved label.
The XT tax/price code is visible on the side two label.

Housed in a fully laminated 'WRW' printed cover.
Complete with original lined inner-sleeve.

Matrix numbers: G2-WP 7207-2N & G2-WP 7207-2N
Stamper numbers: 1/GD & 1/GD

Labels: EXCELLENT

Visual: VERY GOOD PLUS

Clean and bright surfaces which inspected closely in daylight and under a halogen desk lamp reveal just a few light scuffs and sleeve removal hairlines.
There are no scratches or heavy marks anywhere and the heavy vinyl disc lies 100% flat on the turntable without dishing or warping.

Audio: GOOD

Some groovewear is audible throughout which causes some distortion and background noise during the loud passages.
There are a few soft 'ticks' audible between tracks but no loud clicks or any hiss, pops, jumps or repeats


Cover: GOOD

Despite obvious faults, this is a reasonable example of this extremely fragile cover with a bright, glossy and unfaded front panel.
There are two small areas of missing paper to the lower corners and light wear to the opening edge but no tears or splits.
The rear panel has a small section of missing paper to the opening edge and some upper flipback damage but the lower one is undamaged.
The spine wording is intact, clean and readable and the upper and lower seams are intact and unsplit.
