Description
The Beatles - Rubber Soul USA 1st press STEREO LP on the rainbow Capitol label, Cat. No. ST 2442.
Genuine WEST COAST 1st pressing which can be identified according to Bruce Spizer's The Beatles' Story On Capitol Records Part 2 The Albums, through the following marks:
- the cover is CAP 2442.SC1 with the brown stereo banner and no 'file under' text.
- rear of jacket bears #6 for factory of manufacture.
- west coast label CAP 2442.SR1B without reference to the band's name.
Matrix info: Side 1 ST-1-2442-B-16, Side 2 ST-2-2442-A-13.
The original olive green inner is included in VG+ condition with some creasing.
The jacket is still in it's original shrink wrap with breathe holes although it is opened at the record edge, the whole pasted jacket being in great shape. There is some very minor corner bumping to the bottom opening corner (rear).
The labels are in EX condition with very few signs of spindle wear evident.
The disc is in EX condition with some light surface marks and the occasional hairline scratch, nothing that affects play and only visible under strong light. Audio quality is excellent throughout.
A very well preserved example of this genuine USA 1st pressing STEREO LP.
