Family 'Music In a Doll's House' 1968 UK original vinyl album on the Reprise Tricolor label, catalogue number RSLP 6312 (stereo)
The numbers and letters stamped on the vinyl are:- Side One: RSLP 6312 A-3G 2 C Side Two: RSLP 6312 B-3G 1 C
This is one of the heaviest vinyls that I have ever had and it is not warped. Both sides have an overall scattering of tiny surface scratches - Side One has two more noticeable ones and Side Two has four more noticeable ones, but I cannot feel any of them. This record plays amazingly well all the way through, I cannot imagine how it could sound better. There is a little crackling in the quiet parts, where it can be heard, but that is not very often and I would say that there is hardly any lessening of the sound quality in real terms - it's brilliant, perfect for everybody who appreciates the attributes of audio from vinyl.
The track titles can be seen on the label photographs. The labels have quite a lot of spindle lines but they don't show up very much and there is a small initial on each side, as you can see, but it's very neat and in a colour which blends in with the colours of the labels. There is no other writing and no damage.
The cover is a standard single sleeve. The front is coated by a clear laminate which flaps over onto the back which is not coated in laminate. The front has a crease across the bottom right corner and about five thumb creases. The corners have some rub wear, as do the flaps on the back. The back also has some light signs of handling but overall it is very clean, and it's a really nice cover. There is a stereo sticker on the back - I am told that all the UK versions of this were made with mono referenced covers and then they just over-stickered them for the stereo.
The spine is almost excellent, just a few small creases and a scuff across the 's' from Reprise, but other than that it's in good shape and fully readable.
The inner sleeve is the original cream paper, which has gone a bit brown.It has a poly-liner and is printed with a UK patent number and 'Foreign Patents Pending'.
I understand there was an insert with some of these when they were new but this does not have one.
I have checked the record Collector grading system and I would say the cover is 'very good+', the record is 'very good+' and the audio is 'excellent' or maybe even a bit better - it really is a great sound.
I have described this as carefully and honestly as possible, but it is a no return item so please bid accordingly.
It will be packed in a record mailing box (cruciform) with two pieces of card inside for further protection.
