The Beatles: Rubber Soul Mono 2nd Press Sans-serif Text. 5/5 Matrix. Tested. VG+. 1 Mother to side 2, with original tracing-paper-lined Use Emitex die-cut inner.

PLAY TESTED SATURDAY MARCH 11TH. ABSOLUTELY NO SKIPS, JUMPS OR STICKING. SIDE 1 SUPERB/EXCELLENT.

Complete and original U.K. Album, issued by Parlophone (yellow & black labels) between 1966 & 1969. (PMC 1267) Mono.

2nd pressing, variation B, with Sans-serif type, with label matrix number misaligned to the left. Matrix 579-5/580-5.

AUDIO: VG+. EXCELLENT TO SIDE 1.

The heavyweight vinyl has very little pop/crackle/surface noise/static on side 1, with the audio being excellent. Static on intros/run-ins, and some in between/during tracks on side 2, reduces the overall audio to VG+, with Side 2 being no better than VG. Absolutely no skips, jumps or sticking. An overall grading of VG+.

VISUAL: VG

VG playing surfaces, with the marks/hairlines/light scratches that you’d expect of a near 60yr old record. Nothing deep/feelable or anything that notably affects playback. Side 1 cleaner than side 2.

SLEEVE: EXCELLENT.

The front laminate retains much of its original lustre, and colour, with just some very minor/light scuffing to right hand side corners.

The rear is also excellent, with no lifting of the Garrod & Lofthouse flip-backs, no graffiti, and very little in the way of marks/scuffs.

All four tear corners are strong, as is the spine, with very little creasing.

Very little edge ware to top and bottom.

Overall, in excellent condition.

INNER - TRACING PAPER-LINED EMITEX INNER. EXCELLENT.

The inner, is in great shape. No seam splits, graffiti, or tares. There’s a little creasing, but again the overall condition is excellent.

LABELS: VG++

Side 1:

Clean, graffiti free, bright, with just a little spindle ware.

Side 2:

As above.

So in conclusion, this is a VG+ 2nd Mono press, of The Beatles 6th studio album, with 1 Mother to side 2. The audio is at least VG throughout, with side 1 being excellent. The sleeve and original Emitex inner are excellent, giving an overall grading for the item of VG+.
