ABSOLUTELY NO SKIPS, JUMPS, OR STICKING.
OVERALL AUDIO: EXCELLENT.
The Beatles: Rubber Soul 2nd Mono press, though with ‘loud-cut’ Sans-Serif label print and design, with original tracing-paper lined Emitex inner. Excellent audio.
This is the mono 2nd press edition of this truly seminal album, in the original tracing-paper lined Emitex inner sleeve, in a front laminated flip-back Ernest J. Day sleeve, with black labels, yellow logo, and silver print. ‘Gramophone’ perimeter rim text, and ‘Sold In U.K.’ to labels, with embossed KT tax code to side 1 label. However, these labels are those more usually found on the ‘loud-cut’ pressings. How many of the 2nd press mono, distinguishable by the matrix numbers, had this font, isn’t known, but this is certainly one of them. Very rare? The distinguishing feature of this particular font style, being that the * credit indicator is spaced away from the song title.

Some light hairlines/marks/scratches, but absolutely nothing significant or feelable. Nothing that adversely affects the audio.
Playback:
EXCELLENT.
ABSOLUTELY NO SKIPS, JUMPS OR STICKING.
Some crackle/surface noise on side 1 and side 2 intros, and other than on the run-out of ‘What Goes On’ and a couple of light pops into ‘Girl’, there’s barely a click. Beautifully quiet during the notoriously affected ‘Michelle’. An overall audio grading of excellent. A lovely copy.
Thus, playback is clean on both sides, and quiet between tracks. Absolutely no skips or jumps throughout, with an overall audio experience of excellent.
Vinyl appearance. VG+
Side 1 has light marks/hairlines. Nothing heavy/feelable, and absolutely nothing to interfere with playback.
Side 2 as side 1, with perhaps a more noticeable, though light mark. Nothing that adversely affects playback.
Labels: Ex
Side 1. Clean, no graffiti, some/little spindle ware. KT embossed tax code.
Side 2 as above.
Sleeve. VG+ (Ernest J. Day & Co. Ltd)
The front laminated flip-back sleeve is minimum VG+
Signs of some creasing to bottom right corner, and minor creasing elsewhere.
No laminate lifting, no lifting of the flip-backs, and little sign of yellowing throughout.
Very minor scuffs/age ware, but very little, with clearly defined sharp corners, and a beautifully strong clearly legible spine.
Emitex Tracing-paper Inner: Excellent.
Tracing paper lined original Emitex inner is in excellent condition, with just a tiny seam split to bottom. No rips or tares. Excellent.
I’d describe the overall condition of the item as excellent, with excellent audio. I do though tend to be quite conservative in my descriptions, and would rather under play the condition, than leave buyers disappointed.
