Description

An original 1st press of Rubber Soul on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 1/1. Stampers 1-TT/2-GDG. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an Ernest J Day printed cover. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex-/Ex) In great condition, still, despite have seen a moderate level of use. Under close inspection you will notice a few marks either side - nothing heavy or troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is thankfully both minimal and infrequent. All we could detect was a touch of static in one or two passages - i.e. precious little. Even the track 'Michelle' plays relatively clean and that's usually the first track which shows audible deterioration. So, its a very nice playing genuine 1st press...
Cover (Vg+) Is still in great shape and has been cared for down the years. The front is still nice and shiny, but there are a few creases over toward the opening. The rear has escaped the worst of the usual ageing, but you will notice it in places. Edge wear is very light and the spin is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and lies totally flat. Please note there's a name written toward the top in the middle.
