Description

An original mono 1st press of RS on the UK Parlophone label. Matrix 1/1. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original mono cover printed by Garrod &Lofthouse. Also included is the original Emitex inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In lovely condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection there are a few light marks per side - nothing heavy or troublesome though. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT level of playback with one deviation. Intros and inbetweens are very nice and quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. By and large a very solid and assured rendition with good clean audio. Expect a few crackles in a couple of isolated spots per side, and perhaps an isolated errant couple of ticks. The only track which dips below the given grading is 'Michelle' - the one that nearly always seems to struggle on these loud-cut copies. Do expect some light static in places during this track. More than enjoyable and perfectly listenable - it just doesn't play as clean as the rest of the LP. A great example of this early sought after copy...
Cover (Vg+) In great shape and has clearly been looked after down the years. Very nice clean and flat front with just one crease down toward the opening. The rear seems to have escaped the worst of the usual ageing process - just a modicum in places. All flipbacks are intact and secure. Edge wear is light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity.
Emitex (Vg+) Light ageing, but no splits or markings.
