Description
These one-box pressings were the first ones after the original Y/B Parlophone pressings and were pressed from 1969-1971.
Please note the rare label error on Side 2, Track 6 (Got To Get You Into My Life) is instead called "I Got To Get You Into My Life"

Vinyl - Near Mint - Absolutely beautiful vinyl! The record looks absolutely flawless when inspected under a light, only the faintest signs of sleeve removal marks, only a couple of spindle trails on each side (Probably from the times I played this LP myself!) and it has fantastic, clean, dynamic audio throughout free of any inner groove distortion or wear, and only one pop throughout the whole album on "I'm Only Sleeping". The noise floor of 60s vinyl is a little higher than modern vinyl formulation but please keep in mind that this LP is now over 50 years old and perhaps something like an ultrasonic cleaning could bring the very very best out of this. As it is, it's still a fantastic and thoroughly enjoyable listen and, in my opinion it's fidelity way outmatches the mono mix of this album!
Please note that there are a couple of very small points of distortion in the left channel on Eleanor Rigby, but this is actually a problem with the -1 cutting rather than the record itself. I own a Y/B pressing in the same condition and it has the same issue, I actually bought this one to try and resolve it but they both had it! That's why I'm selling this copy
Cover - VG+ - Original post-1969 Garrod & Lofthouse flipback cover without any "stereo" indicator on the top right. At the time, EMI had deleted their mono catalogue so the 1 box pressings used up all remaining stock of the "stereo" sleeves and the ones made afterwards didn't need an indicator as they only sold stereo records from then on. This example is still in very nice shape, although not as minty fresh as the record. There are a couple of creases up along the spine and underneath the laminate there has unfortunately been a little bit of yellowing. On the rear side, the flipback flap at the top is lifting very slightly near the opening but there's no damage and it can be easily repaired by a careful hand and some hobbyist glue. The spine is still nice and readable however one of the creases has gone through the middle of the text. All in all, it still looks and feels great to hold! And it'd have definitely graded EX if it weren't for the creasing.
It comes with it's original EMI advertising inner sleeve which is also in top condition!
All in all I feel like this LP is a real gem and finding one in better condition than this will be really difficult
