Description
A very 1st pressing of Revolver on UK Parlophone from 1966. Matrix 2/1. Labels show the track Dr.Robert in abbreviated form - as you would expect from an early copy. The 1st mono cut is now very sought after due to it containing an alternate mix of 'Tomorrow Never Knows'. Only copies with a '-1' matrix on side two contain this mix. Also included is the original white patents pending inner sleeve. So, its 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex) In great condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection there are a few marks either side - mostly pretty minor and unfeelable. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is both minimal and infrequent. All we could detect was a touch of light static in a couple of the quieter tracks - certainly nothing remotely invasive. There is also one brief click right in the middle of TNK. Overall audio quality is very impressive and this copy represents a great rendition of this Beatles classic.
Cover (Ex) In really great shape and clearly been carefully looked after down the years. That iconic front cover looks truly impressive - lovely and shiny and truly white without ageing. Just a couple of tiny creases. The rear is in equally good condition with only very lightest handling wear. Edge wear is very light and the spine is 100% intact. Overall the cover retains perfect rigidity and lies totally flat. You're going to struggle going any better...
Inner (Vg+) A bit aged with no splits.
