PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS RECORD HAS BEEN VACUUM CLEANED ON BOTH SIDES ON MY PROJECT PRO CLEANING MACHINE THANK YOU .
PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL RECORDS , CD's , CASSETTES AND DVD's ARE FULLY PLAY TESTED FROM START TO FINISH INCLUDING BOTH SIDES FOR ALL RECORDS , THANK YOU .
PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL PHOTOS ARE OF THE ACTUAL RECORD INCLUDING COVERS / INNERS AND ARE NOT STOCK PHOTOS ETC . ALSO ALL PHOTOS ARE TAKEN BEFORE THE RECORD IS CLEANED , THANK YOU .
ALL RECORDS ARE TESTED ON MY TRUSTY AIWA TURNTABLE AND GOOD QUALITY JVC AMP . THIS DOES ONLY HAVE A STD BASS AND TREBLE CONTROL . I LIKE TO USE THIS AS IT PICKS UP EVEN THE VERY SLIGHTEST BIT OF NOISE SO I KNOW I CAN DESCRIBE EVERY LP CORRECTLY ETC . I WOULD JUST LIKE TO SAY THAT PLAYED ON BETTER OR TOP QUALITY SYSTEMS WITH GREATER AND MORE TECHNICAL SOUND CONTROL ETC , THESE RECORDS WILL SOUND A LOT BETTER THAN I HAVE DESCRIBED . I KNOW THIS BECAUSE I OFTEN GIVE RECORDS ANOTHER QUICK PLAY ON THE FIRST COUPLE OF TRACKS ON MY PERSONAL TOP QUALITY PIONEER SYSTEM AND I DO FIND THAT MOST OF ANY NOISES LIKE CRACKLE ETC ARE MUCH MUCH QUIETER , SOME EVEN HARDLY SOUND AT ALL . I TEST EVERY RECORD AND FIND THAT MY AIWA WILL COVER MANY OTHER SIMILAR SET UPS THAT A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE , I DID WANT TO JUST POINT THIS OUT , THANK YOU .
Please note that i do tend to use " Very Good Condition " for most of my records , although none are heavily scratched etc and just have some general light surface marks only . The only exception to this is if the record does have scratches and lots of marks etc but is very rare and collectable and will be described in detail . I never use " Mint " or " Near Mint " unless the record is unopened from it's original shrink wrap and unplayed . Everyone obviously has their own opinions as to what is very good and excellent , but in my case , i tend to think that most , if not all records do have marks to some degree ( lots even from new ! ) purely because they are vinyl and mark easy and have been used over a considerable amount of time in most cases . This is why i use Very Good most of the times . This is also why i do go into great detail with my descriptions , as the term " Very Good " can be a bit vague . I do use " Excellent Condition " sometimes , but in my case , i would class this as hardly played , excellent shine and just a handful of the very very lightest and small surface marks only ( in other words , looks like new ) . Lots of my records as you can see by my feedback are better than described , more between very good and excellent and i do pride myself on this fact , this is why i do use mainly " Very Good " but with very detailed descriptions also , so please do bid with confidence , thank you .
PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL RECORDS , CD's , CASSETTES AND DVD's ARE SENT VIA RM 1ST CLASS STD POST AND I ALWAYS OBTAIN PROPER PROOF OF POSTAGE , BUT PLEASE READ THE FULL POSTAGE DETAILS BELOW THANK YOU .
PLEASE NOTE THAT ANY ITEMS WHICH END OR HAVE PAYMENT CLEARED ON A THURSDAY PM WILL BE POSTED ON THE NEXT MONDAY AS I DO NOT POST ON FRIDAYS OR SATURDAYS THANK YOU .
The Beatles Revolver LP 1st -1 S2 + Dr Robert Label + Cover + 1st E J Day Cover . On UK Parlohone yellow / black labels PMC 7009 . Side 1 Run off matrix XEX 605 - 2 , there is also RH stamped at 3 o'clock and 1 stamped at 9 o'clock . Side 2 Run off matrix XEX 606 - 1 , there is also what looks like MO or possibly WO stamped at 3 o'clock and 3 stamped at 9 o'clock . Labels have The Gramophone Co Ltd and Sold In UK text on them . Dr Robert is printed on both the label and the rear of the cover . The cover is also the Ernest J Day printed version . Both labels also have the song titles printed under each other and not running across one after the other . After all said , i would say that this must be one of the very earliest pressings of this classic record .
COVER: Laminated ( front only ) cover generally in very good condition . This one i must say is one of the better ones out there today , a very nice example overall .
FRONT: There are a few very light and small general surface / age related marks in odd places . There are a couple of larger surface laminate crease marks present , one just above the centre of the opening edge and one below the centre of the top edge . There is one much lighter one towards the top right corner , but this one really is very light indeed .There is some mostly very light main edge rub wear in a few odd places , i say mostly because there is just one very small knick under the V in Revolver near the centre of the bottom edge , as i say it is very small as you can see , but it has taken off a very small bit of the laminate . There is some usual fray/dent wear on the corners , though this is again as you can see light and small . There is some normal useage wear on the side opening edges mainly in the form of some usual but light feathering and a couple of very tiny tiny knicks in places , these really are very small indeed . There are the usual ring wear marks present , but these really are very light . There are some usual but very light and small surface laminate crease lines in places round the main edges but these as i say are light and small . There are just three slightly larger ones visible on the spine edge ( this edge is very often found with multiple laminate creases and heavy cracking ) . The spine is very good indeed with just a couple of usual but very light and small crack lines and just a bit of very very light and extremely small dent wear in places , though it does retain it's shape and is not flattened etc . All spine text is fully legible and bold and bright . There is just a bit of very light browning present mainly on the right hand side opening edge , i think pretty much all can be seen in the photos .
REAR: There are just a very few light and small handling / age related / surface marks visible in odd places , though these are very light indeed . there is one extremely tiny spot dent mark just to the left of Ringo ( in line with the tie ) , this though again is very small and light indeed . There are just a few light surface laminate crease lines in places on the flipbacks and just a very light bit of usual grubiness visible on the very outer edges of the flipbacks . There is again just a very light ringwear mark ( only really seen very lightly on the left hand side ) . There is just the very very lightest bit of general rub wear visible as i say on the very light ringwear mark and a very very light bit towards the top right corner . There are just a couple of extremely light and feint surface only hairline crease lines towards the top left corner , i know most people would not even have mentioned these they really are that light . there again is a bit of light browning visible on the opening edge ( just on the white part of John's shirt sleeve ) , again this is very light . There are the odd extremely tiny knicks visible on the opening edge as mentioned on the front description , though as i say these really are extremely light and small . All flipbacks are intact and overall really are very clean indeed . This one really is a very very nice overall example indeed as i say , especially on the rear ! which is very hard to find nowadays in any sort of a decent clean condition . I just hope i haven't made this out to be worse than it is , i do sometimes tend to go a little OTT , but i just try to be thorough with all my descriptions .
INNER SLEEVE: Emitex poly lined inner sleeve generally in very good overall condition . There are a few light general surface marks and creases in places mainly near the bottom edges and there are three or four very small browning spot marks in places and the usual ringwear marks are present . There is some browning present , mainly on and around the edges . There is some normal but quite light useage wear on the top opening edges .
RECORD: The overall visual grade under normal light is very good condition with mostly light surface marks visible on both sides . Actually this is pretty much the same under bright light . Before i start , there is a high spot / slight warp visible in one place which does give off some arm lift , this is mainly visible on side two and on the first half ( actually slightly a bit less than this ) , but this does slowly begin to fade to next to nothing from the end of track two .This is much less visible on side one and fades a lot quicker to nothing . I must stress that i tested this on three different decks just to make sure and this did not affect the play or sound quality at all . There is a large surface only mark on side two and a few more ( two or three ) visible and a bit larger but still surface only marks in odd places , but i must say there are no nasty deep feelable gouges etc . It plays crisp and clear throughout on the audio play back overall though there is some mostly light background crackle noise present mostly on the quieter parts and on side one , none of this in my opinion spoils any enjoyment and does not over power any of the music etc which remains lovely and clear and has that great punchy sound . Side two does tend to be more occasional but still light background only crackle noise . Tick wise , i think there were about half a dozen quite light ones only . There are some usual louder crackle noises heard on the silent run ins/offs and track changeovers though i must say that even a lot of these remain quiet overall . This record on the music really does play and sound fine overall and the audio tones are still truely awesome . There were absolutely no jumps / sticks etc when tested on my decks and it still retains a good overall shine . Both labels are writing free , clean overall , with just some usual spindle marks visible on both sides . There is a very small odd black spot mark on side two label at approx 6 o'clock towards the bottom and there are some tiny white spot marks seen on side two label , these are often seen on these black / yellow Parlophone labels , but are harder to see under darker normal light conditions , infact at night under a normal household light they are very hard to spot , you really do have to hold it at a certain angle to the light to see them properly . again i think pretty much all can be seen in the photos . All in all a good overall example of this now very collectable and rare item . Thank you very much for your time and interest and happy bidding . Please do read the following ref post and packing and item gradings explained thank you .
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch.
