Description
The Beatles – Please Please Me .. Parlophone PMS 3042 UK Stereo original from 1963. Black and Yellow label. 33 1/3 to the right of the XEX matrix number on both labels. XEX 94 – 1 and XEX 95 – 1 in the dead wax. The sleeve has the photo credit starting below the S of songs, as it should.
The record is visually only VG with several light surface scuffs visible, along with very fine hairline marks. Fortunately they have very little effect on play. I have listened to this LP more than once and would say the playback is more like EX- Very bright, with just very occasional very light crackle and a few very light pops… Nothing that disturbs the play at all and mostly only evident between tracks. Absolutley no jumps or skips or loud clicks or pops at all.. A very decent playing copy of this very, very rare LP. It has a very reasonable reserve...
The sleeve is not so good, with a split of the laminate along the top, although the card itself is not split, and fraying at the bottom edge and some loss of the flipback and discolouration and some marks on the matt back sleeve. .. Please see the pictures. It would be reasonably easy to get a better sleeve, but these 33 1/3 label records very, very rarely turn up.
