Description
Black and Gold Label with "Dick James Mus. Co. "publishing credit. of ‘The Beatles - Please Please Me’ from the 22nd March 1963.
The 1st pressing can be identified by the four tracks - ‘I Saw Her Standing There’ & ‘Misery’ on side one, and ‘Do You Want To Know A Secret’ & ‘There’s A Place’ on side two - incorrectly credited to ‘Dick James Mus. Co.’ due to an earlier mistake by George Martin, before being corrected to“Northern Songs Ltd” for the 2nd press shortly after.
The 1st press ‘Gold’ sleeve printed by Earnest J. Day Co. Ltd, can be identified by the"Photo: Angus McBean" credit alignment on the front bottom right corner, which begins where the "s" of songs end. On the second issue sleeves, the credit was moved further to the left aligning with the “g”.

Good condition. Vinyl is glossy and clean with only minimal surface marks visible. Both labels are Good Condition - glossy with slight spindle marks. The sleeve is in good condition some marks around edges and slight folding on back bottom, has a sticker on back top left corner ( see pictures ) Complete with original inner sleeve which is clean with zero splitting just mild discolouration. Overall a good 1st press lp.
